Walsoken Church

Bell Ringing

Walsoken Church Bell Ringing Homepage

We are a working Parish Church which has been a centre of worship since 1146. Situated exactly one mile from the centre of Wisbech, the church has been described as 'The grandest Norman parish church in Norfolk'.  We seek to serve the community and each other in a loving and compassionate manner.

Visitors are always warmly welcome at any time during the week and, of course, to our Sunday Worship. We hope you will visit us and enjoy your visit.  If you come and join with us at any of our Sunday Services, please do especially make yourself known and stay on for a cup of tea after the service.

Men, women and children from Walsoken and other villages have found and worshipped God in this building since its foundation in 1146. It is a place where you, too, can find faith, joy and peace.  Many generations, including our own, have cared for this building that it may be an inspiration to all.

Feel at home in it, - don't hurry - and try to find time to consider Jesus Christ without whom, for all its age and beauty, it is nothing. May His Spirit fill you with God's love.  Please feel free to take any of the many helpful leaflets provided in the rack on the information table near the door where you entered the building.
